We’re now on the hunt for two Transport Operators to join our Felixstowe operations team — people who know their way around a port, understand how to get the most out of an HGV fleet, and can keep cool when things get... well, container-shaped.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily container collections and deliveries
* Manage HGV driver assignments, ensuring compliance with working time and transport regulations
* Liaise with ports, customers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely movements
* Track and monitor container movements using transport management systems (TMS)
* Optimise fleet utilisation and reduce empty mileage
* Respond to any operational issues and adapt plans as needed to maintain service levels
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in container-based road transport operations (essential)
* Strong working knowledge of UK ports (Felixstowe experience desirable)
* Familiarity with driver regulations and road transport compliance
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* Confident communicator with good customer service approach
* Proficient with logistics software or TMS (training provided if needed)Before You Apply
