Transport Planner
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
A well-known logistics company based in Immingham is looking for a hands-on Transport Planner to join their busy team.
What you'll be doing:
Planning and managing the daily running of the fleet.
Making sure customer needs are met and service levels stay high.
Keeping deliveries on track and running smoothly.
Finding the best routes to cut down on costs.
Planning backloads and reloads to make things efficient.
Working closely with hauliers to assign deliveries and pickups.
Spotting and bringing on board potential subcontractors.
Using computer systems to schedule jobs and send them out to drivers.
Keeping an eye on driver compliance and safety rules.
Checking haulier documents and licenses to make sure they're up to scratch.
Updating online systems and helping hauliers with their driver apps to keep customers happy.What we're looking for:
At least 2 years in a similar transport planning role.
Good knowledge of logistics, especially in freight or shipping.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Solid skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Great communication and problem-solving skills.
Good general knowledge of UK geography.
CPC qualification is a bonus, but not essential.
Hours:
9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
