Location: Telford
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Hours: Approx. 50 hours per week (flexible, including 1 Saturday morning in every 4 – approx. 3 hours)

We’re recruiting for a Transport Co-ordinator based in Telford. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily transport activities. You will monitor vehicle movements, plan deliveries, and provide excellent communication between drivers, warehouse staff, and customers. A strong focus on organisation, problem-solving, and customer satisfaction is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor vehicle movements using the tracking system to ensure schedules are maintained.
Track and report any delays such as motorway closures, breakdowns, or other issues.
Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to report and resolve delivery or collection problems promptly.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the Transport Management System (TMS).
Support completion of key performance indicators (KPIs) by ensuring data integrity.
Plan and organise same day deliveries using available transport resources.
Maintain excellent customer relationships, providing clear and timely communication at all times.
Work collaboratively with the wider logistics and operations teams to achieve departmental objectives.Key Requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Highly organised, with excellent planning and multitasking abilities.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
Flexible approach to working hours to meet business needs.Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a transport or logistics co-ordination role (preferred).
Understanding of road transport regulations, including Driver CPC and Working Time Directive (advantageous).
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Strong IT literacy, with experience using TMS or similar systems.
