Job Description

Transport Planner 
Are you ready to help shape the future of transport planning in a brand-new Cheltenham team, where your ideas and expertise will directly influence how projects grow from the ground up? 
This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking transport consultancy as part of an expanding Cheltenham office. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative and practical transport solutions across the UK, the team works on a diverse range of development and infrastructure projects. As part of this growing office, you'll play a key role in establishing its presence and contributing to its continued success. 
Job Role 
As a Consultant, you will support the delivery of transport planning projects from initial concept through to completion. You'll be involved in preparing technical reports, analysing data, and working closely with senior team members and clients. 
Key responsibilities include: 
·Assisting in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Statements, and Travel Plans 
·Analysing traffic data and contributing to junction modelling work 
·Supporting project delivery across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments 
·Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders 
·Contributing to the growth and development of the Cheltenham office

Requirements 
·Experience in transport planning (consultancy experience preferred) 
·Understanding of Transport Assessments and UK planning policy 
·Familiarity with modelling software such as Junctions 9, LinSig, or similar 
·Strong analytical and report-writing skills 
·Excellent communication and teamwork abilities 
·A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to a growing team
