Our award-winning client is seeking a Transport Planner to work in a small and fast paced traffic office. Reporting into the General Manager, you will deliver a cost-effective service to clients, ensuring vehicles are loaded/unloaded efficiently, whilst optimising on service and revenue.

Duties for the Transport Planner include:

  * Planning of resources for the fleet in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

  * Liaise between our drivers and the customers in a proactive, clear and professional manner.

  * Support the General Manager and Network Supervisor with the daily plan for network and full-load vehicle movements.

  * Process orders, PODs on the company traffic management system and check purchase invoices as required.

  * Liaise with drivers and coordinate their requirements.

  * Support office colleagues with delivery / collection schedules and resolve / escalate any issues that affect the efficient running of the operation.

To be considered for the Transport Planner role:

  * Ideally, experience within a similar role of Transport Planning.

  * Excellent communication skills.

  * IT literate with Microsoft Office.

  * Ability to balance priorities.

  * Excellent written and communication skills.

  * Ability to work in a pressurised environment.

Hours are: Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm
