Job Description

Pall-Ex UK Limited are hiring, we have an opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner, to join our friendly team in Ellistown..

About the role:
Duties include:

  * Ensure Daily planning service and cost requirements are met

  * Plan all General haulage routes efficiently using KPIs

  * Ensure all drivers are contacted/monitored daily

  * Monitor using inhouse tracking systems and technology

  * Ensure all drivers hold the relevant entitlement for the vehicles they are driving

  * Ensure all drivers remain legally compliant and driving hours are monitored

  * Work with the Operations manager to deliver a 1st class service

  * Liaise with existing and find new General Haulage customers

  * Build a large general customer base

  * Achieve set revenue targets monitored by KPIs

The ideal candidate will have:

  * Previous experience in a Transport Planner role

  * Knowledge of Driver Working Time Directives

  * Confident telephone manner and verbal written communication skills

  * Strong organisational and communication skills

  * Integrity and professional attitude

  * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  * Confidence to problem solve

  * Excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
