Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner with a strong background in planning for ADR (Accord Dangerous Goods Regulations) and managing logistics for 6 and 8-wheeler vehicles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing efficient transport plans, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing route efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement transport plans for the effective movement of goods, specifically focusing on ADR-compliant materials.
* Coordinate logistics for 6 and 8-wheeler vehicles, ensuring optimal load distribution and route planning.
* Analyze transport data to identify trends and recommend improvements in efficiency and safety.
* Collaborate with drivers, operations teams, and clients to ensure timely and safe deliveries.
* Monitor compliance with transportation regulations, including ADR guidelines, and implement necessary training for staff.
* Prepare reports on transport performance, costs, and compliance metrics.
* Utilize transport management software to streamline operations and improve communication.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transport planning, with a focus on ADR and vehicle management.
* Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, including ADR compliance.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in transport management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
* Certification in hazardous materials handling or relevant transport planning certifications.
* Experience with fleet management and route optimization software.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
