Job Title: Transport Planner
Location: Trafford Park
Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 per annum (plus overtime opportunities)
Job Type: Full-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
Holiday Cover Shifts (up to 9 weeks/year):
AM Shift: 5:30am - 2:00pm
PM Shift: 12:30pm - 9:00pm
Occasional Saturday Mornings: Paid as overtime

At their Trafford Park site, we are now looking for a hands-on, motivated Transport Planner to join our dedicated team.
What You'll Be Doing
Plan and manage Irish export trailers (Dublin & Belfast).
Schedule and coordinate multi-drop collections and deliveries (C&D) for pallet network customers.
Ensure on-time deliveries and all scheduled customer collections are achieved.
Reactively adjust plans based on network/customer needs.
Maintain regular communication with drivers and internal teams.
Monitor live operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Ensure efficient use of vehicles and drivers while maintaining high service standards.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a Transport Planner role
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to stay calm and solve problems under pressure.
Confident communicator who can manage and support drivers effectively.
Flexible attitude toward shift patterns and occasional weekend work.
Good IT literacy - training will be provided for in-house systems.
What We Offer
Competitive salary (£29,000 - £32,000 DOE)
Paid overtime for Saturday mornings
30 days annual leave (including bank holidays), rising to 35 days with service
