As part of this growth, they are seeking a driven and experienced Transport Planner to join their operations team and help deliver first-class planning and coordination of their transport activities.

Transport Planner Job Overview
Plan and schedule daily routes for a fleet of vehicles across the UK
Monitor and manage driver hours, breaks, and legal compliance (WTD, tachographs)
Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure service levels are met
Manage real-time changes, disruptions, and last-minute requests
Provide clear instructions and support to drivers
Coordinate with the workshop for vehicle maintenance schedules
Maintain accurate records and systems for planning and compliance purposes
Transport Planner Job Requirements
Proven experience in a transport planning role, ideally within general haulage
Strong knowledge of UK road networks, driver regulations, and WTD legislation
Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Competent IT skills and familiarity with transport management systems (TMS)
A proactive attitude with attention to detail and strong organisational skillsTransport Planner Planner Salary & Benefits
Salary range: £35,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience
