Transport Planner / Logistics Coordinator - Wrexham
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (typically finishing by 5:30-6:00 PM)
Location: Wrexham, North Wales
I'm working with a family-run dairy logistics business in the Wrexham area who are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their growing team.
If you're a hands-on, organised Transport Coordinator / Logistics Planner / Fleet Scheduler who thrives in a fast-moving environment - this is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark within a supportive, forward-thinking company.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to join a well-established, friendly transport operation where you'll play a key part in keeping the region's milk collection and delivery network running smoothly. You'll be part of a close-knit team who value initiative, communication, and practical problem-solving.
You'll enjoy:
£25,000 - £35,000 basic salary (DOE)
4 on / 4 off shift pattern - great work/life balance
Day shifts only (7 AM - 7 PM, usually finishing by 6 PM!)

Key Responsibilities
Plan and optimise milk tanker routes across North Wales and surrounding regions
Communicate daily with drivers, farmers, dairies and customers
Manage last-minute challenges - breakdowns, delays, or route changes
Ensure full compliance with transport regulations and maintain accurate records
Use IT systems to maximise route efficiency and fleet utilisation
What We're Looking For
Experience as a Transport Planner / Logistics Planner / Fleet Scheduler / Transport Coordinator / Distribution Planner / Route Planner / Operations Planner
Previous experience within transport, logistics, agriculture or dairy would be ideal
Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills
Calm under pressure, proactive and solution-focused
Team player with a can-do attitude
