About the Role
We are hiring for a dynamic and forward-thinking transport planning consultancy committed to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions for their clients. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transport Planning Technician to join a London office. In this role, you will support the Transport Planning team by producing technical drawings and preliminary highway designs using CAD. You will play a key role in development planning projects, contributing to the design and delivery of transport solutions that meet client needs while adhering to industry standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality CAD drawings and plans for preliminary highway and junction designs.
Assist the Transport Planning team with development planning projects, including site access, parking layouts, and sustainable transport strategies.
Work closely with planners, engineers, and consultants to deliver integrated and innovative transport solutions.
Ensure compliance with relevant design standards, planning policy, and local authority requirements.
Contribute to the efficient management of project deadlines and workload.About You
Experience using AutoCAD (essential); additional design software skills are an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
An interest in transport planning, highways design, and the built environment.
Good communication and teamworking skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
Previous experience in a transport or highways-related role (desirable, but not essential).Benefits
