Transport Supervisor
Manchester, Trafford Park
Fulltime, Permanent
A for Appointments is currently working with a forward-thinking, leading water cooler and coffee supplies company. Based in Manchester, Trafford Park. Due to continued growth and demand, they are looking for a diligent individual to join their Transport Team in a fast-paced environment.
In this role you will oversee daily operations for drivers, ensuring customers receive deliveries efficiently and opportunities are maximised to increase profits.
Duties:
* Oversee and manage the transportation operations of the company
* Coordinate and schedule transportation activities
* Monitor and track transportation costs and expenses
* Manage a growing team of drivers Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers
* Resolve any transportation-related issues or problems that may arise
* Book services and repairs for vehicles in advance
* Minimising costs to increase profitability
* Correspond with drivers and clients
* Update clients of any potential delays
Experience:
* Proven experience in managing transportation operations
* Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills Proficient in using transportation management software
