Job Description
Job title: Lecturer in Travel and Tourism
Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Lecturer in Travel and Tourism to work in an exceptional College in central Hull, starting ideally starting ASAP and lasting initially until October 24th. This is to cover a period of absence, so the exact length of time is difficult to establish, but may well extend. Payment for this position will be between £20 and £40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours for this position will be 8:30 - 4:00PM per hour, and is five days per week. There may be potential for part time in this role, so any candidate who works 2-4 days per week are encouraged to apply.
Working as a travel and tourism lecturer, you will be instrumental in delivering Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC to eager students ready to learn. You will impart your expert knowledge to guiding them through their BTEC and successful engage the students. You will be expected to provide planning and marking for this role, but there are a number of resources available meaning that the planning requirements will be minimal.
This school is located in central Hull and has an extremely positive reputation in the local area. This college is extremely proud of it's offering in vocational studies, and the Travel and Tourism department is absolutely no exception. You will be joining a strong department with a leader willing to support the transition into the college.
Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.
To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:
Has a PGCE/QTS/Cert Ed
Has experience teaching travel and tourism (ideal)
Have experience working within schools in the UK (desirable)
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
