Location – Ashby-de-la-Zouch – East Midlands, Nationwide
Salary - Per Annum Negotiable DOE + Flexi-time, TOIL (Time Off in Lieu), Overtime, Fuel card, Pool vehicle (van)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing multi-disciplinary surveying practices. They specialize in delivering high-quality surveying services to a diverse client base, including architects, planning consultants, utility companies, government agencies, engineers, ecologists, and a wide range of construction-related professionals. Their expertise spans across multiple sectors, including architecture, planning, retail, commercial & facilities management, infrastructure & highways, and construction & civil engineering.
Due to continued growth and an increasing demand for specialist services, my client is seeking an experienced Tree Surveyor to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about arboriculture who enjoys working on diverse projects that include BS5837 surveys for planning and development. The role offers a mix of site and office-based work as a tree surveyor.
Responsibility & Duties
* Carry out tree surveys in accordance with BS5837 standards as the tree surveyor
* Prepare detailed arboricultural reports, tree constraints plans & impact assessments
* Work with clients, planners, and project managers to meet project requirements.
* Ensure accurate data collection using digital technology and software tools.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance on all projects.
* Assist in advising clients on tree protection measures and recommendations.
Experience & Qualification
* Proven experience in arboricultural surveys, preferably BS5837 tree surveys.
* Strong knowledge of tree identification, health assessment, and risk evaluation.
* Proficiency in using AutoCAD or GIS software for producing plans.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills as the tree surveyor
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects as the tree surveyor
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required as the tree surveyor
