About the Role:
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Tutor to support students across the Wellingborough area. This rewarding role involves providing tailored one-to-one or small-group tuition to pupils who may require additional academic support, either in mainstream schools, alternative provisions, or community settings.
As a Tutor, you'll help students build confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve their academic goals across a range of subjects - with a particular focus on English, Maths, and Science.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions to students (KS2-KS4).
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate session records and progress reports.
Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and local authorities to support positive outcomes for learners.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent tutoring/teaching experience.
Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, or Science.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A patient, positive, and empathetic approach to supporting young people.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
