Job Description

Tutor Required – Selby (Immediate Start)
Think Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate tutor to support a Key Stage 1 student on a one-to-one basis at a primary school in Selby.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child’s learning journey. The successful candidate will work closely with the student to build confidence, reinforce core skills, and provide tailored academic support within a school setting.
Key Details:
  * Location: Selby
  * Start Date: Immediate
  * Hours: During school hours
  * Role Type: One-to-one tutoring
Responsibilities:
  * Deliver personalised learning sessions aligned with EYFS/ Key Stage 1 curriculum
  * Support the student’s academic progress in core subjects such as English and Maths
  * Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
  * Build a positive and encouraging learning environment
  * Liaise with school staff and Think Education to monitor progress
Requirements:
  * Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within EYFS and Key Stage 1
  * Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum
  * Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  * Ability to engage and motivate learners on a one-to-one basis
  * Relevant qualifications or tutoring/teaching experience preferred
