Job Description
Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate tutor to provide face-to-face tuition for a young person in Year 12, located in MK42 (Bedford). This student is motivated to engage in education and is seeking support to prepare for college applications next year.
Location: MK42, Bedford (in-person sessions required)
Hours: 4 hours per week
2 hours - English GCSE
2 hours - Maths GCSE
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: Ongoing throughout the academic year
As a Tutor, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet the student's individual needs and interests
Support the young person in developing emotional regulation strategies
Foster a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment
Gradually build a strong rapport and encourage participation at the student's own pace
Work closely with parents/carers and other professionals as needed
About you:
Experience teaching GCSE English and Maths
Ability to provide SEN support and adapt teaching methods accordingly
Passionate about helping young people achieve their potential
Reliable, patient, and able to build rapport with young learnersThis is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a young person's educational journey and future prospects.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young peopleTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)Before You Apply
