Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting young people who face barriers to education? Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced and compassionate Tutors to work with learners who are permanently excluded (PEX) or at risk of exclusion. This role offers the chance to make a real impact by helping students re-engage with learning through personalised support.
As a Tutor you will:
Deliver tailored Maths and English sessions (KS2-KS4).
Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Build positive, trusting relationships with learners.
Use a trauma-informed approach to help students feel safe and supported.
Plan and adapt sessions to meet individual learning goalsAbout you:
Minimum 1 year experience working in UK schools.
Experience supporting students with SEMH or behavioural needs.
Ideally trauma-informed or open to training.
Confident planning and delivering basic Maths and English lessons.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).Position - Tutor

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
Trauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- Desirable
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)Before You Apply
