Job Description

Job Title: English & Maths Tutor (1:1 Support) Location: Sheffield and surrounding areas Hours: 5-40 hours a week. To be held between Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm Pay Rate: GBP20 - GBP30 per hour Students: KS2-KS3 Students, working below ARE About the Role: Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced English and Maths tutors to provide 1:1 support to students in the Sheffield area. We work with local authorities and councils to arrange these 1:1 tuitions for students currently accessing alternative provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who may require additional support to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: · Deliver tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions in English and Maths · Support students in improving academic performance and confidence · Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs · Monitor progress and provide regular feedback Experience, Training and Qualifications: · QTS (desired but not essential) or previous experience working with students on a 1:1 basis · Proven track record of improving student performance · Team Teach qualification (highly desirable, but not required) · Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year is desirable; training can be provided if needed) · DBS registered on the update service To be Eligible for this Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must: · Hold the right to work in the UK · Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to apply for one · Provide two professional references covering the last two years How to Apply: If this role is of interest to you, please apply now - we look forward to hearing from you.
