Job Description
Our client is a well-respected grower, packer and distributer of Salads and Herbs. A family firm with main growing locations in the Midlands. Over the years they have created well-recognized brands based on exceptional product quality. They now can boast a well-established customer base, comprising mainly UK Wholesale, Food Service and other non-retail outlets.
They are now looking for an experienced professional to bring their ability for sales and procurement to forge a new category. In terms of working arrangements, a home based (in the office tba) candidate is as welcome as someone based in the office, which opens up this role to people living in all areas of the UK.
Overall, our client is keen to speak with Fresh Produce Traders and Commercial Manager’s. This role and the specifics depend entirely on your track record of buying and selling in the Fresh Produce trade.
They would favour experience with (individual or multiple products) in Fruit categories, or Vegetables (inc specialty) and or Exotics. They would be selective on Salad products. Using your experience and relationships to help drive the business forward and help grow the top and bottom lines for the business.
The successful candidate: –
You would have extraordinary Buying and Sales skills, and currently working within the Fresh Produce Industry…. We would be open to any level of experience if you can point to a successful track record of managing your own buying and selling of fresh products.
You will have a proven track record of delivering sales and new business in the non- retail or wholesale, catering and Food Service markets (In the UK).
Strong IT skills Excellent commercial acumen and communication skill
