Job Description

Band 7 Unit Manager – Learning Disabilities (Inpatient) Location: Stroud Pay Rate: £30 per hour Contract: Starting 23rd June 2025 | Monday to Friday | 08:00 – 16:00 IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Tripod is looking for a highly experienced Band 7 Unit Manager (RNLD or RMN) to lead the inpatient learning disabilities team in a dynamic and specialist environment. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact on service quality, patient outcomes, and team leadership in a specialist unit. Key Responsibilities: * Lead day-to-day clinical and operational management across a 7-flat inpatient service. * Provide line management and clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary team. * Undertake assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of complex care needs. * Oversee service improvement initiatives, audits, and quality assurance frameworks. * Manage HR responsibilities including appraisals, training, staff performance, and recruitment. * Engage with internal and external stakeholders including NHS teams, local authorities, and regulatory bodies. * Contribute to risk management, safeguarding processes, and policy development. Requirements: * Essential: RNLD or RMN with NMC registration. * Substantial management experience within an inpatient learning disabilities or mental health setting. * Proven leadership in managing teams, risk, audits, safeguarding, and complex care delivery. * Experience with training, mentoring, and service development. * Confident working with individuals with complex and challenging needs. * Comprehensive knowledge of the Mental Health Act, MCA, PBS, and transforming care frameworks. * Up-to-date with mandatory training, including Basic Life Support
