Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Northampton, seeking an enthusiastic Unqualified English Teacher for a full-time role starting ASAP or January 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, deliver engaging lessons, and take your first steps toward a rewarding teaching career-all while helping students develop their confidence in reading, writing, and communication.
The Role:
Deliver structured and engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with support from experienced teachers
Use pre-prepared materials to guide lessons and contribute to curriculum delivery
Provide small group and one-to-one literacy support for students who need extra help
Encourage positive classroom behaviour and support overall student engagement
Work collaboratively with the English department and take part in reading clubs or enrichment activities
Who We're Looking For:
A recent English graduate or someone with strong subject knowledge (e.g. English Language, Literature, Creative Writing)
A confident communicator with a genuine passion for education and language
Someone aspiring to gain teaching experience before pursuing QTS or further training
Organised, resilient, and professional, with a proactive approach to learning
Experience working with young people (in schools, tutoring, or youth work) is highly desirable
