We are currently working with a small, nurturing independent SEND provision that supports children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school prides itself on providing a safe, supportive and inspiring environment where every pupil is encouraged to re-engage with learning and develop the confidence and skills to succeed.
The Role
The school are seeking a motivated and caring Unqualified Teacher to join their dedicated team. You will work closely with experienced teachers and support staff to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils who may have experienced challenges in mainstream education.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with primary aged children, keen to develop a career in special education, and ready to make a meaningful difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and support the planning of creative, hands-on learning experiences for small groups of pupils.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to help them manage emotions and develop social skills.
* Support children’s learning, emotional regulation, and social development in farm and forest school sessions.
* Use positive behaviour strategies to help children feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
* Assist in preparing and maintaining engaging outdoor learning spaces.
About You
* Passionate about supporting children with additional needs, particularly SEMH.
* Patient, resilient, and flexible in your approach.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* A willingness to learn and develop professionally – full training and mentoring will be provided.
* Experience in a school or youth setting is desirable but not essential.
