Unqualified Primary Teaching Assistant – Newport (NP20)
Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
£89.38 per day (£13.75 per hour)

We’re currently recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support teaching and learning in friendly and inclusive primary schools across Newport (NP20). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children and want to make a real difference in the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons across the curriculum
Working with small groups or individual pupils to support learning
Helping create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
Supporting children with reading, writing, and numeracy tasks
Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation
Encouraging children’s social, emotional, and academic development

Who We’re Looking For:
No formal teaching qualifications required
Experience working with children (in school or other settings) is highly desirable
Friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine interest in helping children learn and grow
Available during school hours (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) in the Newport area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
