About the RoleWhat You'll Do
This role is all about supporting our HR team and employees with a variety of tasks. You'll be involved in:
Maintaining and updating employee records on the HR system in line with GDPR compliance, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Acting as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from staff and managers, providing helpful and friendly support, and escalating complex employee relations matters when necessary.
Assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes, helping new team members get set up for success and managing departures smoothly.
Supporting payroll by providing accurate data, such as absences, details for new starters, and information for leavers.
Assisting in maintaining HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible, and communicating these effectively to staff.
Providing crucial administrative support for employee relations matters, including scheduling and providing comprehensive support for disciplinary, grievance, and performance meetings, ensuring all documentation is accurate and confidential.
Undertaking general administrative duties such as scanning, filing and managing HR correspondence to keep things running smoothly.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
A common-sense approach: You're a logical thinker who can figure things out and solve problems effectively, particularly when navigating sensitive employee situations.
Ideally some HR experience: While not essential, a foundational understanding or experience in Human Resources or Employee Relations would be a strong advantage.
Excellent organisational skills: You can manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and pay close attention to detail
Strong communication skills: You're comfortable interacting with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to communicate empathetically and clearly, even in challenging conversations.
Proactive and eager to learn: You're not afraid to ask questions, take initiative, and grow your skills, especially in the area of employee relations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office: You're comfortable using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A positive attitude: You bring energy and enthusiasm to your work every day.
Exceptional discretion and confidentiality: You understand the critical importance of handling sensitive employee and HR information with the utmost care and professionalism, particularly in ER cases
