Overview
Due to growth we are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail. As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for the restoration and creation of upholstered furniture, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our customers' expectations. This role requires both creativity and technical skills, as well as the ability to work with various materials and tools.
Duties
Measure and cut fabric and materials to specifications for upholstery projects.
Sew upholstery pieces together using industrial sewing machines and hand sewing techniques.
Assemble and fabricate furniture components, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
Perform heavy lifting of furniture pieces during the upholstery process.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace in the warehouse environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.Skills
Proficient in sewing techniques, both machine and hand sewing.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
Experience in assembling and fabricating various types of furniture.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in upholstery work.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 8am - 4.15pm (37.5 hours per week)
