Pay: £16-18/hour DOE
Employment Type: Full-time
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in both modern and traditional upholstery techniques for our client.
What You’ll Do
* Upholster high-end, custom furniture to the highest standards of craftsmanship
* Read and interpret upholstery specifications and technical drawings
* Use industrial sewing machines, staple guns, cutting tools, and other upholstery equipment safely and effectively
* Accurately measure, cut, and fit fabric and padding materials
* Perform frame preparation, webbing, springing, stuffing, and final covering
* Ensure all work meets quality and design standards
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum of 5 years’ professional upholstery experience
* Proficiency with sewing machines and other upholstery tools
* Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
* Good physical fitness: ability to lift, carry, bend, and stand for long periods
* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Strong time-management and organizational skills
* Strong technical knowledge of upholstery methods, materials, and equipment
