Job Description
Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking an Urban Drainage Modeller to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Building, developing, calibrating, and verifying urban drainage models
Assessing and upgrading hydraulic models of urban drainage networks (foul and surface water systems) using InfoWorks ICM
Scoping survey works (asset surveys, CCTV, and flow surveys) and reviewing returned survey data
Collating and reviewing catchment data (e.g., trade flow, population data)
Collecting and analysing hydrological and hydraulic data
Validating and verifying InfoWorks ICM models against observed data
Conducting capacity assessments using InfoWorks ICM models
Preparing technical reports
Supervising, supporting, and developing junior modelling staff
Job Requirements:
Experience in urban drainage modelling, specifically with InfoWorks ICM
Experience working with a UK Water Company
Strong practical knowledge and understanding of GIS (ARCGIS, MapInfo, or QGIS)
Competency in using MS Word and Excel
Ability to work under the direction of Team Managers, Project Managers, and Lead Design Engineers
