Vehicle Damage Assessor 
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £40,000 + bonus

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join a well-established and reputable bodyshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a similar accident repair or estimating background who is confident delivering accurate assessments and high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring vehicles are assessed correctly, repairs are efficiently planned, and customers receive a smooth, professional experience from start to finish.

What you’ll be doing as the Vehicle Damage Assessor:

Accurately assessing vehicle damage and producing detailed repair estimates using Audatex
Providing precise and compliant vehicle assessments in line with industry standards
Maximising profitability through effective estimating and efficient repair planning
Delivering excellent customer service and handling queries professionally
Working closely with the workshop team to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring full compliance with industry guidelines
Supporting cost control and operational efficiency in line with company policies
What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Vehicle Estimator in a busy bodyshop environment
ATA qualified (essential) or equivalent (NVQ / IMI / SVQ)
Strong understanding of modern vehicle repair methods and industry standards
Experience using Audatex estimating software
Confident communicator with strong customer-facing skills
A proactive team player with a focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency
Commercial awareness with the ability to support profitability target
