Job Title: Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)
Location: Bedford
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role
We are recruiting for a professional and customer-focused Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our client’s accident repair centre in Bedford.
This role will involve assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and communicating clearly with customers to provide excellent service and support throughout the repair process. The position is customer-facing, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills alongside technical knowledge of the accident repair industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess vehicle damage and prepare accurate repair estimates
*
Liaise directly with customers, providing updates and clear explanations of repair work
*
Work with insurers and accident management companies to gain repair authorisation
*
Ensure estimates are in line with manufacturer standards and safety requirements
*
Support the workshop team by ensuring repair processes are efficient and effective
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a VDA within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
*
Strong communication and customer service skills
*
Good understanding of estimating systems (e.g. Audatex)
*
Ability to work closely with customers, insurers, and colleagues
*
ATA VDA qualification desirable but not essential
*
Full UK Driving Licence preferred
