Vehicle Engine Specialist
Grays, Essex
£30k - £50k depending on experience
Monday – Friday 08:00 – 18:00 (No Weekends)
All tools suppliedIf you’re a detail-focused, mechanically minded engineer with a passion for engines – this is the role for you.
We’re working with an independent specialist business based in Grays that’s known for excellence. Due to continued demand, they’re looking to add to their skilled team.
You’ll work with a team of very skilled technicians with a guarantee of variety and challenge daily.
This position would suit someone with proven mechanical skills – and the ability of removing and replacing car engines.
What’s in it for the Engine specialist?
£30k - £50k (DOE)
45-hour week, Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Strip, inspect, assess, remove rebuild, and fit engines
Diagnose faults and report findings in detail
Work from technical drawings and engine schematics
Maintain accurate build records and measurements
Operate specialist measuring tools and test equipment
Support engine dyno testing and running-in sessionsRequirements:
Hands-on experience in engine building – automotive, motorcycle or motorsport
Understanding of ignition systems (magneto/coil)
Able to manage own workload and hit deadlines
Superb attention to detail – this is a quality-first environment
