Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) / Estimator to join our clients team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in both the preparation of accurate cost estimates and ensuring quality standards are maintained across projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control and quality assurance measures, along with the ability to analyse project specifications and requirements to support successful project execution.
Duties
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Conduct thorough analyses of materials, equipment, and overhead costs to provide accurate pricing.
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals for compliance with quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
Prepare and present detailed reports on estimates for management review.
Assist in the development of cost control and quality assurance strategies to optimise project budgets and outcomes.
Participate in site inspections and audits to verify compliance with project quality standards.
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to identify, report, and resolve quality issues.
Ensure adherence to company and industry QC procedures, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.Experience
Strong understanding of cost control and quality control principles and practices.
Familiarity with quality standards and inspection procedures relevant to construction or engineering projects.
Proficiency in estimation software and tools is advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to team members and stakeholders.
