Job Description
Job Title: Vehicle Ramp Inspector – Nights
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £37,321 – £41,207 per annum
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00pm – 6:00am
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Ramp Inspector to join a busy night shift team in Grimsby. Working as part of an inspection department, you will carry out detailed vehicle checks to ensure quality and safety standards are consistently met.
This role requires a strong technical background and attention to detail, with the opportunity to further develop your skills through ongoing training and support.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out visual checks on keys, tyres, wipers, and all interior/exterior lights.
* Complete under-bonnet inspections.
* Assess for excessive engine noise or rattling.
* Conduct underbody inspections, including brakes and suspension components.
* Perform function testing of all onboard equipment.
* Complete diagnostic checks.
* Where required, undertake mechanical repairs.
Skills & Experience
* Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician.
* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar inspection role.
* Full, valid UK driving licence (held for a minimum of 2 years).
* Strong technical knowledge with the ability to identify and report defects accurately.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
