OTE: circa £57,871

We are recruiting on behalf of a major UK operator for a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join their Plymouth-based on‑site workshop. This is a technically rewarding role where your expertise directly supports a safety‑critical fleet that serves homes and businesses across the UK all year round.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in fleet reliability and safety. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on heavy vehicles and trailers
Diagnosing faults using strong technical knowledge and a safety‑first approach
Maintaining workshop tools and equipment to a high professional standard
Supporting fleet compliance and safety through quality workmanship
Working a rotating shift pattern (early and late), with overtime and on‑call opportunities
Participating in specialist training programmes to grow your skills and qualifications
What We're Looking For
You will ideally bring:
Qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent hands‑on experience
Good knowledge of vehicle systems, trailers, and workshop practices
Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic capability
A safety‑conscious, methodical approach to work
Clear communication and good organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
HGV Category C licence
ADR certification
Full training will be provided where required
