Job Title: Vehicle Mechanic
Location: Lexus, Sidcup
Salary: Up to £45,000 basic + £20,000 bonus potential (OTE £65,000)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30 (1-hour lunch); 1 in 3 Saturdays, 08:00 – 13:00 (paid as overtime at 1.5x)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Mechanic to join our established workshop team at Lexus Sidcup. With a competitive salary, joining bonus, guaranteed commission whilst on annual leave, and paid Saturday overtime at enhanced rates, this role offers fantastic earning potential alongside manufacturer training and long-term career progression.
If you have main dealer or large independent experience, Pro Tech accreditation (or equivalent Vehicle Technician qualification), and a drive to deliver excellence, this is an outstanding opportunity to grow your career with one of the world’s most prestigious automotive brands.
What You’ll Do:
Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance work to Lexus manufacturer standards
Handle diagnostic and fault-finding work, including advanced technical issues
Complete vehicle health checks and record findings with accuracy
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and resolve advisory work as required
Achieve and maintain workshop efficiency targets (120% efficiency target; commission paid at 100%+)
Work collaboratively with service advisors to deliver outstanding customer service
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and manufacturer requirements at all times
Contribute to the overall success of a five-strong technician team
What We’re Looking For:
Service level or above qualification as a Vehicle Technician (or equivalent) is essential
Previous experience in a main dealer or large independent dealership is required
Strong diagnostic knowledge and servicing ability
A positive, keen attitude and commitment to developing technical skills
Proven ability to meet efficiency and productivity targets
A full UK driving licence is essential
