Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic Manager to oversee the maintenance and servicing of a fleet of 2,500 vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a dedicated team of mechanics, ensuring high standards of performance, safety, and compliance across all fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and support a team of mechanics in delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance.
*
Oversee servicing, repairs, and inspections of a fleet of 2,500 vehicles.
*
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to maximise fleet availability.
*
Manage budgets, workshop efficiency, and supplier relationships.
*
Monitor vehicle performance data to identify improvements and reduce downtime.
*
Ensure all work is completed to regulatory standards and company policies.
*
Provide training, guidance, and development opportunities for workshop staff.
Requirements
*
Proven experience in a managerial role within fleet maintenance, workshop supervision, or as a senior vehicle mechanic manager.
*
Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicles, cars, or mixed fleets.
*
Experience managing a team of mechanics and delivering results through leadership.
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*
Relevant qualifications in vehicle mechanics or engineering (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
*
Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability.
