Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a well-established independent garage and body repair centre situated on the outskirts of Northampton. 

This is an excellent Vehicle Technician opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals looking to work in a friendly, stable environment where no two days are the same. Our client is committed to providing high-quality service across a broad range of vehicles, including prestige and specialist models.

 Benefits:

Up to £40,000 basic salary depending on experience
Monday to Friday working hours (8:00am – 5:00pm)
Occasional Saturday overtime paid at time and a half

Opportunity to work on a diverse fleet of vehicles, from everyday cars to high-end modelsDuties of the Vehicle Technician:

Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
Conducting repairs on brakes, clutches, suspension, and timing components
Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and assisting with inspections
Diagnosing faults using workshop equipment as a Vehicle Technician
Supporting occasional bodywork and structural repair tasks within the workshop
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timeframesRequirements of the Vehicle Technician:

Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, or extensive hands-on experience
Minimum of 2–3 years of workshop experience
Confident in routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and fault diagnosis
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, practical, and customer-focused approach
MOT licence is desirable but not essentialThe workshop benefits from a convenient location on the outskirts of Northampton, making it easily accessible from Bedford, Milton Keynes, and the surrounding areas.
