Job Title: Vehicle Technician
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8:30am – 5:00pm, including alternate Saturdays
Location: Bolton
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, looking to work in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles, including diesel and petrol engines.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
Perform MOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Assist with fleet maintenance and ensure all vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
Skills & Experience:
We welcome candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
General vehicle maintenance and mechanical repairs
Engine diagnostics and electrical systems
Fleet maintenance and servicing
MOT testing and inspections
Hydraulic, pneumatic, and braking systems
Vehicle bodywork and light fabrication
Experience with heavy commercial vehicles or light commercial vans is advantageous
Requirements:
Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle maintenance (e.g., NVQ, IMI)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence
