Job Description
Vehicle Technician – Knowsley
Salary: £43,160 per annum OTE (Basic £36,720 + £2,900 bonus OTE + overtime available)
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, day shifts only, overtime at time and a half
Contract: Permanent
Must be a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician, or Level 2 with at least 3 years’ experience as a technician/mechanic.
Overview We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-equipped workshop in Knowsley. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a large fleet of vehicles, ensuring they’re safe, reliable and compliant. With a wide mix of vans and cars, every day brings something different.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, steady work and clear progression opportunities, supported by a training programme that covers Hybrid, EV and specialist systems.
Key Responsibilities • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a mixed fleet of cars and vans
• Ensure all vehicles are safe, roadworthy and compliant with legislation
• Diagnose and fix faults accurately and efficiently
• Complete job cards and documentation to a high standard
• Work to deadlines while maintaining quality of work
• Support colleagues and contribute to a team-focused workshop environment
What You’ll Need • Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI) OR Level 2 with minimum 3 years’ proven technician experience
• Strong mechanical knowledge with diagnostic ability
• Flexibility to complete overtime where required
• A safety-first approach with attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence
