Vet Nurse Wanted. $77k per Annum. Small Animals, Big Adventures, No Corporate Chains
You’re a great vet nurse. Maybe you’ve been thinking about what’s next, how to use your skills in a more meaningful way, challenge yourself, and work with a team that truly values what you bring to the table.
Maybe the idea of combining top-tier specialist care with a relaxed Aussie lifestyle has caught your eye?
With its outdoor lifestyle, the mountains, the beaches, the long blue-sky days, and its ‘happy-go-lucky’ attitude to life, Australia has the lot.
What if we know of a place with a caring like like-minded team, a place to develop, and somewhere that values your skills and your well being.
Well, you are in luck as this purpose built independent referral hospital is hiring for growth.
Their caseload is varied, exciting and, occasionally, a bit wild think cats and dogs most days, but also the odd lion, orangutan or capybara. If you’re the kind of nurse who lights up at the thought of a new challenge, this is where you’ll thrive. This isn’t just a workplace, it’s where passion meets purpose.
What’s the role?
As part of their Specialist Nursing team, you’ll rotate through departments like Surgery, Internal Medicine, Imaging, Urgent Care, and Ophthalmology. Your day might involve anaesthesia induction and monitoring, critical nursing care, inpatient rounds, or preparing for complex surgeries. This is hands-on nursing with full training and support from experienced specialists and senior nurses.
Who are they looking for?
You might already have experience in referral or emergency practice or you might be a passionate GP nurse ready to take the leap. Either way, we want people who are eager to learn, laugh, and grow. Team players with a calm head, a curious mind, and a kind heart.
Ideally, you’ll have:
* Completed RVN or a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
* A thirst for learning and development.
* Confidence with clinical nursing tasks.
* Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including some weekends and nights (urgent care is 24/7; specialist services run Mon–Fri)
* A good sense of humour and genuine care for your team and patients
What’s in it for you?
* A 4-day week for full-time nurses.
* Ongoing CPD including access to advanced skills training.
* A collaborative, kind, and inclusive team culture.
* A beautiful, state-of-the-art facility designed for gold-standard care.
* Competitive salary $77k PA + allowances, growing with you as you develop
* $850 CPD can be used for relocation.
What about the area?
Adelaide, if you don’t know much about it, I recommend you Google it! Regularly ranked among the world’s most liveable cities and recently voted the happiest city in Australia. With its thriving food and wine scene, laid-back lifestyle, and proximity to some of Australia’s most beautiful coastlines, it’s the perfect place to grow a career without sacrificing quality of life.
So, what’s next?
Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.
