Job Description

Please only apply if you have receptionist experience Veterinary Receptionist – Full-Time (40 Hours per Week) We are looking for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our welcoming and supportive team. This is a 40-hour per week role, working across all three of our branches on a rotational basis between 8:00am and 7:00pm, including 1 in 4 Saturdays. Key Responsibilities: As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Your duties will include: * Answering telephone calls professionally and courteously * Greeting clients and their pets on arrival * Booking appointments and surgical procedures * Processing repeat prescription requests * Ordering pet food for clients * Handling payments and client billing * Dispensing prescribed medications * Registering microchips * Promoting the PVS Health Plan * Providing basic guidance on vaccinations, flea/worm treatments, and neutering * Assisting with animal handling when required * Maintaining cleanliness in line with the rota * End-of-day cashing up procedures About You: We’re looking for someone who is: * Proactive and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment * Calm under pressure and confident when communicating with clients * Organised with strong IT and administrative skills * Passionate about delivering excellent customer care * Flexible and a strong team player Previous experience in a veterinary practice is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
