Job Description
Enfield Council is looking for a Visiting Officer to join our Financial Assessment / Income and Debt Team. This is a dynamic role spanning across two services, offering a mix of office-based and field work where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct inspections on empty or altered properties
* Perform residency checks and income-related assessment visits
* Support vulnerable or housebound customers without access to support
* Collect and verify income-related data for council reductions
* Write detailed visit reports with minimal supervision
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in delivering a visiting service
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Comfortable working independently across different hubs
* Good IT literacy and ability to manage digital records
* Strong understanding of income collection, welfare benefits, and local authority processes
* Commitment to continuous professional development
Essential Requirements
* Enhanced DBS (without barring list)
* Car owner/driver (essential for the role)
