Job Title: Voids Team Manager
Location: East London & Essex (1-2 days on-site, remainder remote)
Rate: £325-£350 per day (via umbrella)
Potential Permanent Salary: £55,000 per annum
Contract Type: Temporary (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity - No Obligation to Convert)
About the Role:
We're working in partnership with a respected Housing Association to recruit a proactive and experienced Voids Team Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team overseeing void properties across East London and Essex.
The successful candidate will take charge of a team of five direct reports and will be responsible for driving void turnaround performance, ensuring properties are brought back into use efficiently, to a high standard, and in line with organisational KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Void Officers and operatives.
Oversee the voids process from end to end - from property inspection to re-let.
Liaise with internal departments and external contractors to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor and report on void turnaround times, budgets, and quality standards.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives and support transformation in voids management.
Requirements:
Proven experience managing voids in a social housing setting.
Strong understanding of housing legislation and voids best practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team.
Comfortable with a hybrid working model (1-2 days in East London, remainder remote).
