About Us
We are a small, supportive children’s residential home based in Barnoldswick, providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to young people. We are now looking for a compassionate and reliable Waking Night Support Worker to join our close-knit team.

The Role
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will provide safety, stability and emotional support for our young people overnight.
You will work on a 2 nights on / 4 nights off rolling rota (average 28 hours per week), covering 10pm–10am waking night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Supervision
• Provide a safe, nurturing and stable environment overnight
• Monitor and respond to the physical, emotional and behavioural needs of young people
• Respond appropriately to incidents or disturbances and escalate where needed
Environment & Routine
• Complete nightly health & safety checks
• Maintain a clean, tidy and homely environment
• Carry out administrative tasks, record logs and complete handover to day staff each morning
Safeguarding & Compliance
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures at all times
• Accurately record and report observations and incidents
What We’re Looking For
• Empathy, patience and resilience
• Excellent communication skills and a calm approach in challenging situations
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate written records
• Flexibility to work a 2 on / 4 off rota (10pm–10am)
• Previous experience in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided
