About the Role
As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will be at the heart of operations, overseeing the seamless receipt, storage, distribution, and dispatch of a diverse range of goods. Your expertise will be crucial in managing daily warehouse activities, optimising logistics processes, and leading a dedicated team to ensure accuracy, productivity, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving goods, inventory management, order fulfilment, and dispatch.
optimise warehouse layout and space utilisation for maximum efficiency and safety.
Maintain robust stock control systems to minimise loss, damage, or discrepancies.Logistics & Distribution
Plan and coordinate transport schedules, routes, and deliveries to meet customer requirements across the UK and overseas.
Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport partners to ensure the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods.
Oversee import and export documentation, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.Team Leadership & Development
Lead, motivate, and support warehouse and logistics staff to achieve operational goals.
Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all operations align with company policies, legal requirements, and health and safety standards.
Carry out regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary.Continuous Improvement
Track and analyse team KPIs to measure performance and efficiency.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and introduce improvements that enhance productivity and service quality.Key Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience (5+ years) in warehousing and logistics management.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, and inventory control procedures.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Forklift certification or experience (in-house training provided).
Qualifications in Logistics and Warehouse Management or related fields (preferred but not essential).
