Job Role: Warehouse Operative
Fixed term – 6 months
Location: Oxford
We are currently recruiting for the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer, at their site at Oxford Airport.
We are looking for warehouse operatives to support the material management warehouse in material orders, material movement, material unloading and handling.
Experience working with SAP or an active forklift license is preferred, but not a requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative :
Support management in meeting team and company goals.
Follow all company quality and safety procedures when carrying out daily tasks.
Pick, pack, move, and process materials in the correct order of priority.
Unload, handle, and store items safely and according to company and airworthiness standards.
Build good working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and other departments.
Work well as part of a team and support others when needed.
Be aware of costs and efficiency, helping to protect the company’s commercial interests.
Suggest new ideas to improve warehouse operations and efficiency.
Keep your work area clean, safe, and well-organised, following company policies.
Spot and resolve problems early to avoid delays or mistakes.
Use SAP and other systems correctly as trained, following all work instructions.
Keep accurate records and paperwork to support warehouse and admin processes.
Take part in continuous improvement projects to help make processes better.
Meet personal and team performance targets.
Work across different warehouse areas when required (inbound, outbound, repairs, tool control).
Provide regular updates on progress to Team Leaders.
Be available to take part in the on-call rota when needed.
An ideal candidate for the Warehouse Operative role would have:
Experience in the aviation supply chain is an advantage, experience within logistics, warehouse or stores is essential.
Strong communication skills – able to work well with colleagues and customers at all levels.
Good awareness of warehouse security and stock control.
Well-organised and able to prioritise tasks, even in busy or pressured situations.
Used to working towards targets and meeting KPIs.
Understanding of UK CAA / EASA Part 145 regulations (preferred but not essential).
Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
