Warehouse Manager - Air Cargo
Location: Hayes, Middlesex
Salary: £55,000 per annum (DEO)
Hours: Monday to Friday
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager with a strong background in air cargo operations to lead our clients busy warehouse facility in Hayes. This is a hands-on leadership role, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance, and motivating a high-performing warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to deliver operational excellence
Manage warehouse objectives in line with business goals, ensuring efficiency and productivity targets are met
Promote and enforce safe working practices in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines
Ensure full compliance with aviation security regulations and company policies
Oversee the handling, storage, and processing of air cargo to meet strict time and quality requirements
Monitor financial and commercial performance, controlling costs and identifying efficiencies
Maintain accurate warehouse records and reporting systems
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and team performance
Act as a visible, hands-on leader who motivates and supports the team in achieving daily targets
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager within the air cargo or freight forwarding sector is essential
Strong understanding of aviation security and regulatory compliance
Knowledge of warehouse KPIs, budgeting, and cost control
Excellent leadership, motivational, and communication skills
Hands-on managerial style with the ability to lead by example
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
