Location: PR9
Hours: 8am-4:30pm
Salary: £35k
Days: Monday-Friday
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record in process improvement and team supervision. This role requires expertise in warehouse management systems, shipping and receiving, and transportation management systems to ensure efficient operations and optimal profitability.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
* Supervise warehouse staff, providing training and guidance to enhance performance and productivity.
* Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, order fulfilment, and returns processing.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs.
* Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
* Utilise ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing workflows.
* Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimise transportation solutions.
* Conduct regular audits of warehouse processes to identify areas for improvement.
* Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Familiarity with profit & loss statements and financial performance metrics related to warehouse operations.
* Experience with transportation management systems and 3PL partnerships is highly desirable.
* Proficient in using ERP systems, AS400, and other relevant software applications for inventory control.
* Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving processes, as well as forklift operation.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and continuous enhancement of operational efficiency.
