The Opportunity

We’re working with a growing and fast-paced logistics operation looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead their site in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that operates within a time-critical, high-volume environment, where quality, service, and efficiency are everything. You’ll play a key role in driving operational performance, leading teams, and shaping the day-to-day running of the warehouse.

The Role

As Warehouse Manager, you’ll take ownership of the entire warehouse operation—from goods in through to dispatch—ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be expected to lead from the front, develop your team, and continuously look for ways to improve processes and performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring productivity and service levels are achieved 

Managing and developing warehouse teams to drive performance and engagement 

Overseeing goods in, storage, picking, and dispatch operations 

Maintaining stock accuracy and strong inventory control processes 

Driving continuous improvement across workflows, layout, and efficiencies 

Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety standards 

Monitoring KPIs and using data to improve operational output 

Working closely with transport and wider teams to ensure seamless delivery 

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager (or similar) role 

Background in FMCG, food, or fast-paced distribution environments 

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams 

Solid understanding of warehouse operations and stock control 

Good knowledge of Health & Safety within a warehouse setting 

A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset 

Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
