Job Description
Building Contractor based in Essex are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory control, goods receiving and dispatch, stock integrity, and team supervision.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics or supply chain management and a hands-on approach to warehouse efficiency and safety.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday: 6:30am – 5:00pm with Friday finishing at 4,30pm
Responsibilities include:

Manage day-to-day warehouse operations ensuring smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
*
Maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems.
*
Implement and improve processes to optimise space, efficiency, and safety
*
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement and sales to maintain appropriate inventory
*
Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
*
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company policies
*
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
*
Handle returns, damaged goods, and stock discrepancies promptly and effectively
*
Work closely with logistics providers, suppliers, and internal departments
You will to have:

Proven experience in warehouse/inventory management (3+ years preferred)
*
Strong knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory control systems
*
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
*
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
*
Forklift license
*
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
*
Transport management experience ideally but not essentialBefore You Apply
